You know, watching your tight end situation reminds me of when we had that big fella in the late 90s who could block a defensive end and still get open on a seam route. That's a real luxury. I will say, having a quarterback who can deliver the ball is what makes it all work. We had a stretch under Coach [name] where the quarterback play was so consistent, it didn't matter who was catching the ball. The game has changed so much, though. These days, everybody wants that flashy, oversized receiver playing tight end. I do miss when the position was about more than just running routes. It was about setting the edge on a power run, something that wins you games in November. Your group sounds talented, no doubt. But I've seen a lot of "first-round" hype in spring games fade by October. The real test is when you're playing a physical defense on the road, and the quarterback is under duress. That's when you find out what a player is made of. Good luck to you all out there, but I'll be over here watching our guys do it the old-fashioned way.
